
Kolkata - An investigation into the incident train accident in India currently continues. But the investigation into the accident that killed 63 passengers, met with officials blaming each other than in connection with this accident.
Current investigations are centered on the fact-finding why Utabangga Express train filled with passengers, could Vananchal Express trains collided in Sainthia Station, West Bengal.
Utabangga Express train is speeding at 90 kilometers per hour, toward Vananchal Express who are waiting to be dispatched.
Speculation over the cause of this accident was kept sticking. While the regional elections in West Bengal will soon take place, making some parties, especially politicians issued a statement attacking each other about this accident.
Indian Railways Board Chairman Vivek Sahay suspect if these deadly accidents occur because of human error. According Utabangga Express train driver had ignored signals to stop and failing to reduce speed as the train approached the station.
"Why is the train that crashed at high speed? Unclear if the engineer did not brake or use the emergency brake," Sahay said as quoted by AFP on Tuesday (20/07/2010).
Meanwhile, Indian Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee revealed the possibility of sabotage. Suddenly these allegations Banerjee invite criticism from opposition parties who assess the statement is intended to divert the train accident that occurred the days of office today.
Local media have even issued a statement demanding Banerjee harder to come down from his post. Some of the media judge if he considered not pay attention to their duties, just to maintain its position for a new term that will begin in 2011.
Banerjee statement also received opposition from the West Bengal Civil Security Minister Srikumar Mukherjee. Mukherjee, who incidentally is a rival of Banerjee, stating out loud if this accident occurred due to negligence of the Ministry of Railways.
